Give Me a Break!

Mexico is planning to legalize hard core drugs like cocaine and heroin. Vicenti Fox is expected sign the legislation into law.

But don't worry, it will still be illegal to sell drugs. This bizarre move is so the Mexican police can concentrate their efforts on major drug crimes.

Come again, the Mexican Police--they are part of the problem. Elements of the Mexican Army and National Police have been observed assisting the illegal transport of hard drugs across the border.

This is just another development in a long line of unfriendly acts. Consider the following:

  1. The Mexican Government actively encourages the illegal violation of our common border by Mexican citizens.
  2. I still remember Mexicans cheering when the World Trade Center came down on 9/11.
  3. Mexican Army and National Police Units have violated the border and fired on American law enforcement personnel.

Now they want to legalize drugs, making it easier to traffic in hard drugs. I wonder how much the illegal drug lobby is paying to make it happen.
