We've Been Here Before
Twenty-eight years ago, Jimmy Carter failed to act when Iranian students overran the American Embassy. By the time Carter realized that talking with the turban wrapped nut jobs was not working, it was too late for his presidency and effective military action.
Now the students are running the Persian sandbox and they're back to their youthful endeavors.
Iran is not interested in talk. They are making a point. They wish to humiliate Great Britain. There is only one thing they will understand - force.
If we want a successful conclusion to this latest outrage, then the west (in this case Great Britain and the United States) need to hit Iran fast, hard and continuously until the Mullahs cry uncle.
The short list includes Iran's refineries and tankers. If that fails to gain their attention, then flatten their power generation facilities. We must make it clear that the West will not tolerate outlaw actions, otherwise, we had better start learning Farsi and Arabic.
